Frequently asked questions
- Which way does the PDF rotate?
- Rotation is clockwise. Pick 90 degrees to turn a page a quarter turn right, 180 to flip it upside down, or 270 for a quarter turn left. The rotation adds to any rotation a page already has.
- Can I rotate just one page instead of all pages?
- This tool rotates every page by the same angle in a single pass. If you only need to fix one page, reorder or delete tools combined with a selective rotation are a better fit. For a single-page fix, many desktop PDF readers also let you save rotation changes per page.
- Will rotating damage the text or images in the PDF?
- No. The tool stores the new rotation angle in the PDF metadata without touching pixel data. Text, images, and vector graphics are unchanged; only the viewing direction shifts. The file size stays roughly the same.
- What if the PDF is password-protected?
- Encrypted or password-protected PDFs cannot be processed here. You will see an error message. Remove the password protection first using a PDF editor that accepts the owner password, then retry.
