1. Acceptance
By accessing or using PennyCompass (the “Site”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
2. Use of the Site
You may use the Site for lawful personal and business purposes. You may not: (a) scrape or bulk-download calculators or content without permission; (b) reverse-engineer or copy substantial portions of our code or data; (c) use the Site to create a competing product that copies our content; (d) attempt to interfere with the Site’s operation or security.
3. Calculator embeds
We offer free, attribution-required embeddable widgets for some calculators. Embed code, if provided, includes a “Powered by PennyCompass” link. Removing or obscuring the attribution link revokes your embed license.
4. No professional advice
The Site does not provide tax, legal, accounting, investment, retirement, insurance, or financial advice. See our disclaimer for the full statement.
5. Intellectual property
Content on the Site (articles, calculators, code, images) is owned by PennyCompass or licensed to it. You may share links to our pages freely. You may quote short excerpts with attribution. You may not republish substantial content without written permission.
6. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Site is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, PennyCompass and its operator are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Site, including financial loss, tax penalties, or missed deadlines.
7. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the courts of Bangalore, India.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be noted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after a change indicates acceptance.
